The Itinerary

Week 1: Welcome to Antigua

Orientation, Spanish placement, and city walking tour.
Morning Spanish classes (20 hours/week) to jumpstart your language journey.
Mountain bike adventure in the Antigua Valley.
Evening salsa classes and dinner with your host family.

Highlight: A sunset hike at Pacaya Volcano, complete with spectacular views and a chance to roast marshmallows on volcanic heat vents!

Week 2: History & Sustainability

Overnight trip to Tikal: Explore ancient Mayan ruins and immerse yourself in Guatemala’s rich history.
Sustainability classes (15 hours/week) focusing on conservation challenges in Latin America.
Cooking class: Master traditional Guatemalan dishes and savor your creations.
The week culminates in an epic trek up Acatenango Volcano.

Week 3: Surf, Chill, Repeat

Transfer to El Paredon for a week of surfing lessons.
Deepen your sustainability knowledge with coastal ecosystem case studies.

Week 4: Farewell at Lake Atitlán
